Headshot Session Information

I mainly shoot with available light. It makes your headshot appear more natural and lifelike. It also brings out a warmer hue that is hard to do with studio lighting. We will most likely do the shoot in a location that has a lot of soft light. This can be outdoors in a park near my apartment, at a location of your choosing, or at a studio that I am able to rent.

I don't provide a make-up artist or a hairstylist. I suggest people do your "best face " make-up with slightly more emphasis on your eyes. Additionally, extra hairspray is always handy to keep those fly-aways under control.

We will meet prior to the session to talk over the styles you like in your headshot and provide you a quick rundown of how the session will go. I like to make sure that we have a rapport so that you are comfortable with me and my lens. Nothing ruins a shot more than you feeling ill at ease.

A normal session will last about one to two hours, and I usually shoot about 500-600 shots digitally. After the shoot, I will provide you with a proof CD that contains all of your pictures in JPEG format. I will also produce a master shot in TIFF format that you will be able to take to a reproduction house.
